IF you have greasable u-joints, you'll have to turn the driveshaft to open up the ears of the yokes so you can fit a grease gun tip in there. That's easiest to do if you have the Jeep on a lift or at least have the axle on jackstands so you can rotate the driveshaft as needed.

I grease mine every 3000 miles or so, after a while you learn not to over grease them. If you play in the mud then I would grease more often but for normal stuff 3000 miles or so has worked for me. Web14 ott 2024 · Depends on joint style. If there is a plug on a ujoint then you should pull the plug, screw in a zerk, grease it, then remove zerk and replace plug to keep ds in balance. Other points that have a plug just replace with a zerk permanently unless the zerk will cause interference with something during normal movement.
