WebApr 15, 2024 · The report showed there had been 10 assaults among detainees inside the centre in the last six months of 2024, compared with just six for the 12 months between July 2016 and June 2024. This is the first Healthy Centre Review of Bimberi Youth Justice Centre conducted by OICS. It found that, overall, Bimberi performed well over the four areas in which they were assessed- safety, respect and dignity, purposeful activity, and rehabilitation and preparation for release.
